My Background + Education

Singing + Science + Teaching

  • I earned my B.A. in Music from Monmouth University where I focused on classical singing. I then studied musical theater singing in New York City with Broadway vocal coach, Marishka Wierzbicki.

  • In 2017 I completed my post-baccalaureate studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Queens College where I learned the foundations of voice science and rehabilitation. I have also taken numerous continuing education courses in voice therapy as well as graduate courses in clinical pedagogy, speech disorders, and language disorders from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

  • I recently became a certified vocologist through famed researcher Dr. Ingo Tietze’s National Center for Voice and Speech. There, I took graduate courses in voice science and vocal pedagogy (teaching voice) and learned from the top researchers and teachers in the field of vocology.

I am an active member of the Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA), through which I continually attend presentations on the newest voice and singing research.
